Lemon Linguine

I tried this linguine recipe a couple years ago from a cooking magazine. Delicately sauced and tossed with parmesan, this is definitely a winner! I served it alongside lemon-pepper baked chicken.

8 ounces uncooked linguine (I have used spaghetti noodles too)
3 tbsp butter or stick margarine
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving

In a saucepan, cook linguine in boiling water for 8-10 minuets or until tender.

Meanwhile, in another saucepa, combine butter, lemon juice, basil, garlic powder and lemon pepper, cook and stir until butter is melted. Drain linguine, add to butter mixture and toss to coat. Ad parmesan cheese and toss. Serve with additional parmesan sprinkled on top. Serves 4.

Jeff and I love this recipe! You gave it to us in that binder of recipes, and we've made it several times (though I have to confess we've never actually made it with linguine. Spaghetti noodles are cheaper). This makes some real good pasta!
